The mother of all touring bikes!
Where do we start with this one? We are selling this on behalf of one of our supporters.
The Riese & Muller Homage is a high-end German e-bike with a low step through frame, high levels of practicality and very low maintenance. The list of specifications is amazing - as is the price of the new equivalent (Google it!) Some specifications are as follows:
- Bosch CX Performance line motor: the best of the best, with smartphone app link which gives you loads of ride data AND navigation!
- Dual-suspension frame, with the rear carrier area co-sprung for fully loaded smoothness and ultimate comfort.
- Fully air-adjustable front suspension fork
- Dual batteries: the owner has had real world experience of over 150km range when used wisely. Even in Turbo mode, ridden without much care for battery life, the range is in excess of 50km.
- Belt drive: no chains or cassettes to wear out, no oil and muck
- Hydraulic disc brakes: Magura (German ones) of course! Very light lever feel and great power.
- Integrated front basket
- Integrated lights, including a high/low beam on the front light
- Frame mounted lock (a German ABUS - the best!) which uses the same key as the bike & batteries
- (The Jewel in the Crown) Rohloff 14-speed internal rear hub. Rohloff hubs are considered the ultimate cycle tourists drivetrain. Effectively no maintenance and extremely well engineered and manufactured. This one has electronic shifting for absolute precision.
- The bike measures as a Large frame but the current owner would normally ride a small. It's realistically a little to big for her but she has ridden some epic rides on it (including the Munda Biddi trail in WA!). It's very adjustable and a comfortable position can be found for a large range of riders.
The bike was recently serviced and a recent Bosch e-bike Customer Report from Teros Hobart can be viewed on request. Bike has covered just under 13000km and the batteries are showing excellent health.
This bike rides like nothing else. Effortless, comfortable and reassuring. This will bring its lucky new owner many, many enjoyable (and long) power assisted rides.
All original manuals and books, two keys and lock registration codes, as well as the correct Bosch charger are included.
