#1967 Apollo Vintage Mixte

We love a mixte... A Mixte is the kind of bikes that has a lower top bar for ease of access, but not as low as the classic 'ladies' bike... the upper bar is actually a pair of thinner spars which run from the head tube and along the length of the frame past the seat tube. These create a long, thin triangle and make these bikes much nicer and more responsive to ride than normal low-bar step-through designs. And they just look cool!

It came to us with a single chainring up front. Not much help here in hilly Hobart, so we've added more to increase the gear range, giving some low, low gears to help with the hills! The basket and the 'ding-dong' bell are the perfect finishing touches.

The bike has had:

- full brake rebuild including new cables, new pads and caliper service

- Increased the number of gears by adding chainrings

- Gear upgrade & service: replaced rear derailleur, new cables, added front derailleur and new cables

- Replaced worn tyres with good, barely-used ones

- Added mudguards, bell and new basket

- Replaced rusty handlebars with more comfortable ones

Comfortable, nice looking, easy to ride... a great way to get around. Will fit a small to medium rider.
