#1946 Copenhagen hybrid

Please! Whatever you do, DON'T buy one of these new. This is a K-mart bike and it was truly awful, barely rideable and probably not safe, despite being in almost new condition.

But... the frame was in such good condition that one of our dedicated volunteers took on the challenge. Could we turn it into a saleable bike? One that someone might even enjoy riding? The result is here. We've replaced the chain, the gears and the rear brakes. We've rebuilt the headset bearings and greased the bottom bracket (it was dry, of course). We've spent AGES adjusting the front brake to work well.

And it's still cheaper than the new price. We have much better bikes to sell, but if you're on a tight budget, this is for you.
